The Help You Need When Accused Of A Crime

When you are accused of a crime it’s not uncommon to feel hopeless. In fact, law enforcement wants you to believe your case is hopeless so that you do not put up a fight and challenge their evidence. It makes their job that much easier. And when their goal is to convict those charged they will do whatever they can to dissuade you from defending yourself.

However, it is important to remember that no matter what you are charged with, you have rights.  It is absolutely crucial that you have a strong defense.

Three Decades Of Proven Criminal Defense

As the founder of Ronald “Chip” Herrington, Attorney at Law, LLC, I defend your rights and help protect your future. Since 1990 I have worked to ensure that those who are accused of a crime get the top-notch, personal criminal defense they need and deserve. I have extensive experience in the following areas:

  • DUI
  • Drug charges
  • Burglary/theft
  • Violent crimes
  • Domestic violence and issues related to marriage and divorce

No matter the charges you face or the circumstances surrounding the charges, I will fight for you and I will always treat you with respect.

What To Do After You Are Arrested

Tell the police you won’t speak with them until you have spoken to your attorney. Then say nothing more. Do not ask them if you can have an attorney or if you can call one. Simply state you will not speak until your attorney is present.

If you are accused of a crime, the police are not on your side. What’s more, they are skilled at getting you to tell them more than you should, so that prosecutors can use that information against you in court. Ignore suggestions that “you don’t need a lawyer”. You may be discouraged from “lawyering up.” Ignore those statements and call your attorney. Call me.
